Ocean Vicinage to Celebrate 18th Annual Adoption Day
The Ocean Vicinage will celebrate National Adoption Day on Friday, Nov. 22.
“This year we are very excited to be celebrating 11 children finding their forever homes with their adoptive families,” said Family Presiding Judge Madelin F. Einbinder.
This is the 18th year that the vicinage will participate in the nationwide celebration.
The vicinage’s Children in Court Unit and the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency will co-host a celebratory event for the adopting families following the adoption hearings.
This event, which will take place at Mancini Hall in the Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library, will include arts and crafts, family photos, food, and beverages. The children and their siblings will be presented with donated gifts.
National Adoption Day is an annual event to celebrate the families and children whose adoptions will be finalized and to raise public awareness of the need for adoptive homes.
Although adoption proceedings are closed to the public, reporters and photographers are invited to attend the celebration at the library, where families who have agreed to be interviewed and/or photographed will be available.
