Monmouth Vicinage to Hold Opening of Court Ceremony and Memorial Service

The Monmouth Vicinage, in partnership with the Monmouth Bar Association, will hold an Opening of the Court Ceremony and Memorial Service on Monday, Oct. 28 for members and former members of the bar association who passed during the prior court year. 

The public ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. in Courtroom 307 West at the Monmouth County Courthouse, 71 Monument Park, Freehold.

Assignment Judge Marc C. Lemieux will preside. This year, attendees will honor Superior Court Judges James Dennis Clyne and E. Benn Micheletti and attorneys Philip Auerbach, Alfred D’Auria, Bart Babiak, Clifton Thomas Barkalow, Dennis Anthony Collins, Charles Brian Daly, Peter S. Falvo Jr., Stanley R. Friedman, Robert E. Goldstein, Peter P. Kalac, Frederick J. Kalma, Alton Kenney, John Lane, Michael Leckstein, Robert Olkowitz, Peter William Sachs, and Stephen Spudic.

“We will gather to honor and remember the late esteemed members of our legal community. Their dedication to justice, integrity and commitment to the rule of law have left an indelible mark on our county,” Judge Lemieux said.

The bar association will hold a reception following the ceremony in its lawyers lounge on the lower level of the courthouse.
