Hudson Vicinage to Hold 33rd Recovery Court Graduation
The Hudson Vicinage will hold its 33d graduation ceremony for 18 participants of its recovery court program at noon on Tuesday, June 18 in the ceremonial courtroom of the Justice William J. Brennan Jr. Courthouse, 583 Newark Ave., Jersey City.
Graduates will appear in person to receive their certificates of completion. Families, friends, and supporters can view the graduation virtually via a Zoom link here.
Assignment Judge Jeffrey R. Jablonski will address the graduates, as well as their families, friends, and supporters. Recovery Court Judge Maureen Mantineo will preside over the event and will congratulate the graduates on their recovery and accomplishments.
Elisha Harris, a recovery court graduate and a recovery specialist with Integrity House, will give the keynote address. The Hudson Vicinage Judiciary Choir will perform.
The Judiciary’s recovery court program operates with the Superior Court to address non-violent, drug-addicted offenders. The program requires completion of phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment and recovery. This level of supervision permits the program to support the recovery process but also allows the team to react swiftly to impose appropriate therapeutic interventions or to reinstate criminal proceedings when participants do not comply with the program.
The vicinage’s recovery court program invites participants to become part of the Hudson County Alumni Group to further inspire others as they become established members of society through their own recovery experiences and practices.
