Camden Vicinage to Host Naturalization Ceremony
Assignment Judge Deborah Silverman Katz will administer the Oath of Citizenship to 22 new citizens from 13 countries during the Camden Vicinage’s Flag Day celebration on Friday, June 14.
The event will be held at 10 a.m. in courtroom 63 at the Hall of Justice, 101 S. 5th St., 6th floor, Camden.
“The Camden Vicinage is proud to welcome our newest citizens and celebrate Flag Day with a naturalization ceremony,” Judge Silverman Katz said.
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office’s Honor Guard will present the colors for a flag salute and Sheriff’s Officer Thomas Brett will recite the Pledge of Allegiance and perform the national anthem.
Keith Dorr, director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office in Mount Laurel, will present the applicants prior to the oath. Attorney Matthew Rooney, representing the Camden County Bar Association, will speak.
Retired Atlantic/Cape May Assignment Judge Julio L. Mendez will deliver the keynote address and read the names of the candidates. Judge Silverman Katz and Trial Court Administrator Colleen Lore will present the citizens with their certificates.
The New Jersey Daughters of the American Revolution will present gift bags to the new citizens.
