Camden Recovery Court to Host Graduation
Assignment Judge Deborah Silverman Katz announced today that the Camden Vicinage will celebrate the graduation of 16 participants from its recovery court program on Tuesday, May 28 at 10 a.m. in courtroom 63 at the Camden County Hall of Justice, 101 S. 5th St., Camden.
Superior Court Judge Francisco Dominguez will preside. Elizabeth P., a 2017 recovery court graduate, will give the keynote address. Speakers will include Assistant Camden County Prosecutor Greg Audino, Assistant Deputy Public Defender Rachel Carlson, and three members of the vicinage’s Recovery Court Alumni Association.
The Judiciary’s recovery court program addresses nonviolent, addicted offenders. The program requires completion of phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment and recovery, under court supervision.
The vicinage’s recovery court program, which began in 1996, has 500 participants and has graduated 1,006 participants.
