Passaic Vicinage to Hold Recovery Court Graduation

The Passaic Vicinage will hold a hybrid graduation ceremony for 32 participants of its recovery court on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Passaic County Community College in Paterson. The college will also provide a live stream of the ceremony.     

Recovery Court Judge Miguel de la Carrera will preside. Assignment Judge Rudolph A. Filko and Criminal Division Presiding Judge Sohail Mohammed will speak, and the Rosa Parks High School Concert Choir will perform. 

The Judiciary’s recovery court program operates within the Superior Court to address non-violent drug addicted offenders. The program requires completion of several phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment and recovery. Recovery court programs are rigorous, requiring intensive probation supervision, treatment, frequent drug testing, and regularly scheduled court appearances. 

The Passaic Vicinage recovery court program has more than 550 active participants.
