Camden Vicinage to Celebrate National Adoption Day

The Camden Vicinage will hold a National Adoption Day celebration on Friday, Nov. 17. 

Superior Court Judges Linda Eynon, Kathleen Delaney, and Francine Axelrad will conduct virtual proceedings at 1:30 p.m. for 13 children. Gift bags containing teddy bears, coloring books, pajamas, blankets, and other assorted items will be delivered to each child’s home.

The event will be co-hosted by the Superior Court Family Division and the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency, in collaboration with the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Atlantic, Cape May, and Camden Counties and Camden County Surrogate Michelle Gentek-Mayer. 

National Adoption Day is an annual event in which courts and communities in all 50 states join to finalize thousands of adoptions and to celebrate families who adopt. 

Although adoptions are closed to the public, arrangements can be made for reporters to interview willing families after the adoption proceedings have concluded. For more information, contact the Trial Court Administrator’s Office at 856-650-9100, ext. 43030.
