Hudson Vicinage to Host 31st Recovery Court Graduation
The Hudson Vicinage will hold its 31st graduation ceremony for its recovery court program at noon on Wednesday, June 14 during a hybrid ceremony.
The event will formally acknowledge the participants who have successfully completed the requirements of the program. Assignment Judge Jeffrey R. Jablonski and Recovery Court Judge Maureen Mantineo will address the graduates, families, friends, and supporters.
Dana Ziccarello, an associate director at Integrity House and a recovery court graduate, will give the keynote address. Members of the Hudson Vicinage Judiciary Choir will perform.
Graduates will have attained a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety and have maintained gainful employment throughout their participation in the program. Most of the graduates have earned or are working toward earning a high school diploma, general equivalency or higher education degree, as well as satisfying their court-imposed financial obligations.
The Judiciary’s recovery court program operates within the Superior Court to address non-violent drug addicted offenders. The program requires completion of four phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment and recovery. This level of supervision permits the program to support the recovery process but also allows the team to react swiftly to impose appropriate therapeutic interventions or to reinstate criminal proceedings when participants do not comply with the program.
The vicinage’s recovery court program invites participants to become part of the Hudson County Alumni Group to further inspire others as they become established members of society through their own recovery experiences and practices.
