Morris/Sussex Vicinage to Hold Employment and Resource Fair

The Morris/Sussex Vicinage will hold an employment and resource fair for probation clients, recovery court participants, and the public on Thursday, May 18 at 10 a.m.  at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 W. Hanover Ave., Parsippany.   

As part of the Judiciary’s JOBS (Judiciary Opportunities for Building Success) Program, the Judiciary has partnered with local employers and social services agencies to connect clients and participants with open positions and employment resources in Morris and Sussex counties. Select employers will conduct on-the-spot job interviews. 

“This is a great opportunity to link clients to a variety of career paths offered by employers in our area. We have a strong partnership with our local one-stop career centers, which offer services to improve the lives of our clients while simultaneously enhancing an employer’s ability to meet the demands of a competitive job market. A client’s success depends on a collaborative relationship and support from our community partners. The JOBS initiative improves their potential to achieve positive behavioral change,” vicinage Probation Division Manager Michael Lasko said. 

Employers and organizations participating in the event include Amazon, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, County College of Morris, Sussex County Community College, Atlantic Health System, and Zufall Health. Information will be provided on employment and/or educational opportunities for those who attend.
