The Supreme Court of New Jersey considered the Report of the Disciplinary Oversight Committee on the proposed 2025 Attorney Discipline Budget, which recommended that the disciplinary portion of the annual attorney assessment for 2025 remain at $201 for attorneys admitted to practice for between three and forty-nine years. The Court determined to adopt the 2025 Attorney Discipline Budget and the $201 annual disciplinary assessment as recommended by the Committee.
The overall annual assessment 2025 for attorneys admitted to practice will be $267 – which is comprised of the $201 disciplinary assessment, $46 for the New Jersey Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection, $10 for the New Jersey Lawyers Assistance Program, $6 for the Board of Bar Examiners, and $4 for the Board on Continuing Legal Education. As in prior years, attorneys will pay a reduced amount in their first four years of practice.
