Notice and Order – Expungements – Relaxation of Court Rules to Facilitate Attorney Appearances, Substitutions, and Withdrawals

Attorneys, including many who volunteer their services, provide invaluable assistance to people seeking expungements. To support those attorneys and their clients, the Supreme Court has formalized certain expungement procedures so as to permit attorneys to appear, substitute, or withdraw as counsel in expungement matters with the consent of the parties (1) without leave of court and (2) without the payment of fees.
