The Supreme Court invites written comments on the 2021-2023 reports of six of its Rules committees for this rules cycle. In those reports, the committees (as listed below) make numerous recommendations to the Supreme Court for rule amendments and other non-rule administrative actions. As noted previously, the Court has staggered the reporting cycles of its standing committees, such that approximately half submit their respective reports each year.
The six committees whose 2021-2023 reports are published with this notice for comment are as follows:
- Committee on Complementary Dispute Resolution
- Criminal Practice Committee
- Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement
- Committee on the Rules of Evidence
- Family Practice Committee
- Municipal Court Practice Committee
These reports are also available for review and downloading on the Judiciary’s website at https://www.njcourts.gov/attorneys/supreme-court-committee-reports.
Please send any comments on the Committees’ proposed rule amendments or other recommendations in writing by Friday, March 31, 2023 to:
