Burlington Vicinage to Hold Naturalization Ceremony

Supreme Court Justice Fabiana Pierre-Louis will preside over a naturalization ceremony with Assignment Judge Jeanne T. Covert for 17 Burlington County residents at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 in the Historic Courthouse, 120 High St., Mount Holly.

“We are honored to have Burlington’s own Justice Fabiana Pierre-Louis as our host for the naturalization ceremony, which will be held in person once again. Justice Pierre-Louis brings her own unique background and story to the ceremony as we welcome new citizens from around the world to the United States,” Judge Covert said.

The Pemberton Township High School JROTC will open the ceremony by presenting the colors for a flag salute.

Before the Oath of Allegiance is administered, Keith Dorr, supervisory officer for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, will present the applicants, who come from 10 countries.

Remarks will be delivered by Justice Pierre-Louis as well as First Assistant Burlington County Prosecutor Brenda Román-Maneri, who also is president of the Burlington County Bar Association.

Superior Court Judge Gerard Breland will close the ceremony by singing America the Beautiful.
