Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren Vicinage to Sponsor Virtual Seminar on Recovery Court

The Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren Vicinage will host a virtual recovery court seminar on Tuesday, June 14 from 5 to 6:45 p.m.

The informational webinar will provide an overview of the recovery court program, a collaboration of Judiciary judges and staff, county prosecutors, public defenders, and local treatment providers who monitor and support participants. Staff from the county prosecutor’s and public defender’s offices will discuss their roles and perspectives.

This virtual seminar, organized by the Vicinage Advisory Committee on Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement, also will include information about eligibility, probation staff engaging clients in life skills training and employment opportunities, the expungement application process upon completion of the program, Criminal Justice Reform, and the personal experience of a recovery court graduate.

The event is free and open to the public. This is an informational seminar only. Individual cases will not be discussed or resolved.
