Appellate Division to Hear Oral Argument in Monmouth Vicinage

The Monmouth Vicinage will host an Appellate Division panel that will hear oral arguments on Tuesday, June 21 beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Hall of Records courtroom, 1 E. Main St., Freehold.

Appellate Division Judges Clarkson S. Fisher, Lisa A. Firko and Francis J. Vernoia are scheduled to hear arguments in four cases.

This is an opportunity for students, attorneys, and the public to observe the appellate process. The Appellate Division of the Superior Court is the state’s intermediate appellate court, and its judges hear appeals from decisions of the trial courts, the Tax Court and state administrative agencies. Appellate arguments are typically heard in Morristown, New Brunswick, Newark, and Trenton but at times are scheduled at other locations to provide the public an opportunity to observe the appellate process locally.

The full appellate calendar can be accessed at njcourts.gov.
