Order Rescinding January 20, 2021 Order That Had Permitted Municipal Court Administrators to Resequence Completion of the CMCA Certification Requirements.

SUPREME COURT OF NEW JERSEY

By Order dated January 20, 2021, the Court relaxed and supplemented Municipal Court Administrator Certification Board (Board) Regulation 5: 1 so as to permit certification candidates to complete the certification requirements (including the written examination) in a sequence other than as provided for in the Board Regulations.

This was done to address the disruptions that the COVID-19 pandemic caused to the normal operation of the certification process, including the suspension for an extended period of in-person administration of the written examination required as part of the certification process for municipal court administrators.

The Board has since resumed in-person administration of the written examinations in accordance with public health guidance such that the relaxation in the sequence of completion of certification requirements is no longer necessary.
Accordingly, it is ORDERED that the Court's January 20, 2021 Order relaxing the provisions of Municipal Court Administrator Certification Board

Regulation 5: 1 is hereby rescinded effective immediately.
